The consumption of food products, in general, is associated with the level of income of the population. Income, therefore, is the first factor of expansion or contraction of demand. In the case of spices, sauces, spices and condiments, this linkage is even greater, that is, their consumption is more sensitive to variations in income than consumption of staple foods.
According to a survey carried out during 2012 by Food Service Consultoria Especializada, considering the world trend of food consumption, seasonings have a strong potential for growth in the coming years, since the change in the behavior of societies is significant.
The expectation is that, in broader terms, the Brazilian economy maintains its growth rate, making consumption in general also grow and with it the consumption of spices, sauces, seasonings and condiments, which are increasingly expressive appreciation gastronomy and food harmonization.
The market for organic herbs and spices is currently showing an average growth rate of around 30% annually, while the conventional market grows at about 2% per year.
